Aangezien je mij kunt benoemen tot koningin der per-ongeluk-aanmelden-voor-een-nieuwsbrief-want-vergeten-het-vinkje-weg-te-halen zou je dit kunnen zien als negatief. In dit geval niet, ik ben dus namelijk ook - per ongeluk in eerste instantie - lid van de ELLE nieuwsbrief. Het bevalt me prima, vandaar dat ik me er ook nog niet voor afgemeld heb. Via nieuwsbrieven kom je namelijk nog eens ergens. Op de ELLE website vond ik een leuk stukje over een knitwearbrand: Anecdote, made by een Nederlandse ontwerper welliswaar, Jet van Beuningen. Van 'iets mindere' items is op deze webshop geen sprake, werkelijk waar alles zou prima in mijn garderobe passen. Het leukste van dit merk is dat het niet van dat 'high fashion' is (onbetaalbaar en bijna nooit de mogelijkheid het te dragen) - Nee Anecdote draait om items die je het liefst iedere koude winterdag zou dragen, omdat ze comfortabel zitten en warm zijn. De stukken zijn wel aardig aan de prijs, maar lucky me: Mama is voor mij een kabeltrui aan het breien - Crèmewit met een tikje grijs er doorheen en 20% Angorawol (suuupersoft dus) Er hoort ook nog eens een mooi stukje tekst bij de Autumn/Winter '11 collectie:

Alles behalve blauw.

Op dit moment denk ik: hé pornosterretje in je zijden jurkje, trek je jurk eens een meter omhoog! Ja, ik kijk net als half Nederland The Voice. Geen idee eigenlijk waarom iedereen 'of Holland' weglaat, maar ik doe er zelf ook doodleuk aan mee. En om nog even terug te komen op roze-lipstick-zijden-rood-jurk-meisje: ze kan ook nog niet eens zingen, ze fluistert - laten we het daar op houden.

Even ter toevoeging, ik zit op dit moment nog in Zwolle (en kijk dus alleen tv, heel zielig). Ik doe nog wel aan mijn treintocht richting het hoge Noorden om mijn ouders, broertje en werk te bezoeken hoor, maar dit weekend even niet. En dat heeft een reden, een hele goede reden. Ik kreeg afgelopen maandag een bericht dat ik morgen naar een casting mag, van haarmerk Wella. Het betreft een casting voor de het Wella hair event, de dag erna op het NDSM werf in Amsterdam. Dit houdt in dat ik morgen uitgekozen kan worden en mocht dit het geval zijn, dan wordt mijn haar wellicht, met nadruk op wellicht, geverfd/geknipt. Dit laatste is voor mij nog niet de grootste wereldramp maar dat verven hè, dat zit me toch niet echt lekker. Je hebt in de modellenwereld roodharige modellen die echt rood-rood haar hebben, you know what I mean: De vrouw van de Milderreclame en Ierse mensen. Bij die modellen vinden ze het dan nodig om het haar nog roder te maken, als in: Potloodrood-rood, omdat daar veel klanten om schijnen te smeken. Gelukkig val ik - al beoordeel ik het zelf - niet onder de categorie Iers rood, dus ik hoop op het beste. Ik weet echt niet wat ik er van moet verwachten maar één ding weet ik wel: Alles behalve blauw.

Het gaat trouwens prima voor me. Mijn eerste stageweek is alweer achter de rug en die is me prima bevallen. Of nouja, prima, natuurlijk had ik het erg zwaar de eerste twee dagen toen mijn wekker om 5.45 afging. Normaal als je slaapt en je wordt 's ochtends een beetje slaperig wakker, kijk je op de wekker en dan is het altijd (bij mij dan) iets van 4.00 of 5.00. Normaal denk je dan: Waaaaaaaauw fuck yeah, ik kan nog 3 of 4 uur slapen. In mijn geval is het: Wow, ik moet er over 45 minuten uit. Maar ik moet zeggen dat het erg snel went en dat het zo grappig is om te zien hoeveel mensen er rond zevenen al op Zwolle Centraal lopen.

Helaas kom ik ook minder grappige en leuke akkefietjes tegen. Ook in de trein zitten irritante mensen. Je weet wel, van die mensen die heel hard hun koffie slurpen, brood gaan eten met vies beleg terwijl je er naastzit en mensen die denken dat het woord 'Silence' op de stiltecoupé staat voor: ''Ga helemaal los en schreeuw wanneer je kunt!'' En het allerergste: stinkende mensen. Dit kan variëren van zweetlucht tot verkeerde parfumkeuze en rooklucht. Vandaag heb ik een nieuwe geur ontdekt, de zogenaamde: 'Bier-drinken-in-de-trein-geur'. Ja, die mensen zijn er. Er ging een jongen naast me zitten, jaar of 20 schat ik zo. Vies baardje, vies snorretje en hij had een fucking blikje BIER bij zich. Het stonk, al helemaal omdat het super sauna-like warm was en al die walmen richting mijn neus vlogen. Bovendien is het nog asociaal ook. Om niet helemaal in de negatieve sferen te raken: met de trein reizen heeft ook veel voordelen. 's Ochtends heerlijk wakker worden op de fiets en door het mooie Zwolle rijden, muziekje op. Vervolgens kom je bij de bewaakte fietsenstalling aan en zijn er tot je grote verbazing nog triljard mensen om dezelfde vroege tijd wakker als jou, saamhorigheid! Voor de rest kun je heerlijk verder wakker worden in de trein, iedereen is nog stil, geen last van jankende kinderen. En het allerfijnste: Niemand drinkt om 7.00 bier, iedereen ruikt nog lekker fris en het is nog niet sauna-like warm in de trein. Ik zou bijna zeggen: NS I kinda love you.

Scotch & Soda fall 2011, favourites.

Serieus waar, geweldig collectie van Scotch & Soda ♥ sowieso hebben ze altijd mooie collecties wat mij betreft. Ik heb besloten dat ik deze winter sowieso een rode broek wil, omdat het mooi is. Had er al ééntje gespot  bij The Sting en bij de Zara, maar die was me net even iets té oranje. Eigenlijk is deze van S&S per-fect, daar komt het op neer. En ik wil enorm veel knitwear aanschaffen deze winter, zoo fijn en handig te combineren met vrijwel alles. ♥ Poncho is al gespot, evenals hele fijne truien en vesten, geweldige collecties overal, daar gáát me geld, for sure.

Today I made this wonderful salad of tuna, tomatoes and pickles. It is a really easy receipe, made up my myself. I made dressing with quark and just the herbs I'd love to put in. I chose persillade, a french mix of dried garlic and parsley. After that I mixed it all together and I started cutting the pickles and the tomatoes. I put it all together in a bowl and added the tuna, in this case tuna in sunflower oil. Just mix these three ingredients, add the dressing and off you go.

We're having two plants of mint right now in our kitchen. I really love fresh mint, especially in smoothies and of course for making your own cup of fresh minttea (in combination with cane sugar, deliiiiicious, really) Below: the plants and the result.

My week so far

My week so far actually wasn't quite special. I bought some cute things for the appartment, like the two boxes with flowerprint below. Only for 1 euro each. And a lot of practical things like a closet for the bathroom, longdrinks, teaglasses, wineglasses waterglasses (made of recycled glass, really happy with these ones!), cute boxes for in my Expeditcloset of Ikea and a cute soapchain for the toilet. Will post a picture soon. Also bought two dvds I've been craving for for a long time: Eat pray love and step up 3. Already watched the last one, I think the first twos are better than the third, but also this one is an amazing one. I love the day the dicounttickets for La Place arrive, lovely sandwiched and the most delicious fruitshakes ever. And yeey, I'm able to buy the vitaminwater for half the price this coming month <3 This week I made a little box, covered in wallpaper with a cute ribbon around it. Bought myself a blouse as well, a lovely one with flowerprint and another flowerprint will show up when you turn over the sleeve.

Berlin in one day

I just got back home after an amazing week filled with exciting things. Last sunday I went to Berlin, because my boyfriend cycled from Holland to Berlin in just six days. So I was there to give him a comfortable voyage back to home, by car obviously. Monday we visited Berlin, just a few hours, but i fell in love with that city. The weather was perfect, actually a little bit too sunny (my skin was crayfishy red after just one day, hihi) I saw the main important things of Berlin like der Berliner Dom with its lovely park with flowers, das Rotes Rathaus, der Fernsehturm, checkpoint Charlie, der Alexanderplatz, das Museuminsel and more stuff. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to visit das Kaufhaus des Westens, so I wasn't able to shop anyhow. Further I'm not sure if that's an excellent plan, when you're visiting a city with three male creatures..  We ate something at Dunkin Donuts and I do believe that they have the best donuts at the entire world. I had a chocolatdonut with coconut and they had like donuts with green apple, blue sticky blend and way more. It wasn't expensive at all, so I really want to visite that shop more often. They also had really cute muffins, definitely worth trying and with that I'm having a good reason to come back. The Einstein Kaffee's are also amazing, they sell delicious sorts of tea, coffees and things like hot chocolat and cappucino. You can find them at almost every corner of the mainstreets. The day after my visit-Berlin-in-one-day I had a relaxing day, I bought the newest ELLE, because I left my one at the Amsterdam Fashionweek. Yeah, I know that I'm not the smartest person on earth (sometimes) Anyway: last wednesday I went looking for furniture with my boyfriend for our new appartment in Zwolle. We bought a lovely dining-table, little bit bar-like, higher than the normal ones. With four lovely fitting high chairs. And we also bought a perrrrrr-fect couchset, really. It's like a 2,5m long couch and a loveseat in the same style. Little bit design-looking with chrome stands. Can't wait to go in the appartment, we have to wait till next friday, then we will receive the key. Earlier than expected, really happy with that!
